I just ordered a pair of the “Sprint” summer gloves. On my last two rides, my trusty Alpinestars SPX Carbon summer gloves have been just raising hell with my hands! I am hoping that famous Racer Gloves comfort will help make things a little more comfortable, especially on the longer rides. Just as part of the experiment, I also ordered a pair of the A-Stars SPX Carbon Airs in XL to see if they would be any better than my current larges, but found they exhibited the same hot spots new as the fully broken in larges... The gloves arrived today sizes medium and large. The quality of the glove far outweighs the price Racer charges for them, they are really beautifully crafted. In fit, the mediums fit as well as my fully broken in size large A-Stars SPX Air Carbon do, with much less pressure on the first and second knuckle joints. In the end I went with the large size as when trying them on the bike they put slightly less pressure on the tip of my thumb than the mediums did. I ride with my front brake and clutch covers 99% of the time, and that causes most gloves to exert some pressure on the tip of my thumb, the Racer Sprints are worlds away better here than the A-Stars. So here is ride report on my newly purchased Racer Gloves' USA Sprint Summer gloves. They are far more comfortable right off the rack than my fully broken in Alpinestars SPX Carbon Air gloves. No pressure points, great tactile feel in the palm and grip side of the fingers. Nothing else to say, except I really love them! The quality seems to exceed the A-Stars I n terms of both gloves being a consistent size. Both my large and the XL A-Stars I ordered the glove finger sizes were inconsistent left to right, not so with the Racer Sprint Gloves. Also the fancy printed graphics are beginning to come off the A-Stars and the red portion dye imprinted on the white section ever since they got wet. I think I’m a Racer Glove guy for life!
